WINNING ATTITUDE
Winning Attitude is a creative spin on a Bloody Mary cocktail where Espanita Blanco tequila takes the place of vodka, giving this perennial brunch favorite a simple and delicious makeover. You can make this drink as spicy as you like with the addition of hot sauces, from the mild Cholula to more intense Sriracha, just to name a few. Get adventurous with your garnishes and use pickled veggies, cucumber wedges, a half a jalapeño for extra zest or a slice of crispy bacon.
In a Boston shaker, muddle together 2 sprigs of fresh cilantro, 1 pickled okra, salt, ground black pepper and freshly squeezed lime juice. Add Espanita Blanco, tomato juice, several drops of Sriracha sauce and a handful of ice cubes. Using a tumbler glass, “roll” the cocktail by pouring its contents from the shaker into the glass and back. Repeat several times until the cocktail is chilled and well aerated.
Strain the cocktail into a chilled tall glass filled with ice cubes. Float Mexican beer on the top. Garnish the cocktail with a lime wedge and a sprig of cilantro or a celery stalk.
